Cause of Problem: Equipment Failure

SRU failed. By-pass the SRU to the flare during an emergency shut down of the SRU.
Acid gas feed was routed to the hydrocal flare and natural gas was sent to the SRU.

Cause of Problem: Equipment Failure

Fire at the sulfur plant incinerator and by-pass of the the Sulfur Recovery Unit to the flare during an emergency shutdown of the SRU and hydrotreater
Bypassed acid gas to the flare and began shutdown procedures. Placed steam and nitrogen lines into the incinerator to snuff the fire and water for cooling surrounding structures. The fire was contained to the incinerator with no visible flames and later extinguished.
