Two-inch pop off valve on a transmission pipeline
Cause: The most recent statement, made in a telephone interview on 5/2/12, advises that the release occurred at the pipeline regulator station when a release valve malfunctioned. However, in a previously made statement on 4/28/12, it was indicated that the plant was shut down due to loss of power.

Followup: No

Notes: The release valve was repaired and the quantity of natural gas released was found to be BRQ. Centerpoint is apparently responsible for the pipeline in question.
